I couldn't download any of the pre-4.4 gapps from your links.īut it turns out to be a good thing that forced me to try out the 4.4 gapps. Thank you for providing the ARM translation layer. Gapps on Genymotion Android 4.4.4 can work stably now ![]() If you're not a developer and just want to run Android stuff on PC, then right now BlueStacks is very far ahead of the other emulators. So I have no choice but to go back to BlueStacks, which at least works despite the many annoyancesĮdit2: Looks like in the past few weeks BlueStacks released an update that HUGELY improves emulation speed for ARM apps. This also failed to run ARM apps at this point I suspect an Intel CPU may be required (mine is AMD) or the ARM translation layer may just be too old. So I abandoned Genymotion and tried AndY instead. It flashed OK and I rebooted, but ARM-only apps like PvZ2 simply refused to work. Also ensure you're using the latest vbox and geny versions, and a 4.3 JB API 18 Android image.Įdit: Although I got gapps flashed and working fine on various Jellybean and Kitkat images (could not get it working on Lollipop), I could not get ARM translation working at all. The one I used is named gapps-jb-20130813-signed.zip, I got it from here. Not sure about that gapps-jb-20121011-signed(1).zip - it may be outdated. ![]()
